The increased demand for DirecOne’s Services has fuelled an expansion program that has occupied center stage for the Gillette Group since 2003. In May 2000, DirecOne opened its doors in Chaguaramas to the outsourcing market and has since made great strides in the industry.

Five years later, DirecOne continues to aim at being a Global leader in the Knowledge based economy, while increasing the visibility and marketability of Trinidad and Tobago as a premium near shore Contact Center destination.

 

DirecOne is a privately held company and part of a diversified Conglomerate of Interests called the Gillette Group comprised of 15 companies that span the length and breadth of the ICT world, to the manufacturing, hospitality and construction industries.

 

Operating successfully in 5 locations throughout the region since 1984. The Gillette Group will be expanding its DirecOne Contact Center facilities throughout its Caribbean Divisions.

Voice Works Ltd

 

Voice Works acquired by the Gillette Group as a Medical transcription facility in 2003 and provides transcription services to hospitals in the United States. VoiceWorks competes against the best-outsourced MT facilities through the world and can boast of a 98.5% accuracy rating in the delivery of its service.

 

Some of the service delivery carried on at this facility includes the transcription of:

 

  • Clinic Notes
  • Discharge Summaries
  • Operation reports
  • History on physicals for acute care facilities

 

Voice Works has a capacity of 95 seats operating on a 24 X 7 basis.

 

DirecOne Across the Caribbean Seas

 

In Jamaica the DirecOne group has found a ready home, the Jamaican government has expended considerable sums building out and converting existing infrastructure into state of the art Contact Center Space. Jamaica is an already well-established Contact Center destination with 3500 seats already in existence on the island.

 

The rollout of DirecOne Jamaican subsidiary is already well underway. DirecOne will be situated in Kingston and is scheduled to commence operation in 2006. DirecOne will be rolling out an approximate 288 seats and will again be a full service inbound and outbound Contact Center.

 

  

The Technology Park

 

The Government of Trinidad and Tobago has launched the first technology park initiative in the Caribbean and has demonstrated a commitment to developing the IT enabled services through its vision. 20/20. The DirecOne Group is in the advanced stages of negotiation with the Government of Trinidad and Tobago for the further expansion of its contact centers into this area. The construction of these facilities is scheduled to commence in 2006.
